2017 Audi A4: Headlight Highlight and other Details

Here’s the brand-spankin-new 2017 Audi A4. You’re looking at a full-out, ground-up overhaul that sees this popular luxury sports sedan riding a new, stiffer platform. It’s bigger and lighter. The technology, safety and feature content is next-generation. It’s more powerful, easier on fuel, lighter, more responsive, and more fine-tuned.

There’s a bunch of win-win stuff going on here, and to say that Audi has held nothing back with this latest A4 is an understatement. Sure– with 252 horsepower, it’s not the hot-rod in its pricing bracket. And the brakes feel a little numb and difficult to modulate precisely. And rear-seat occupant space is adequate, not generous.

But little gripes aside, here’s a real bar-raising luxury sports sedan packed full of details that reward close inspection, and designed to grab gadget geeks, and fans of luxury cars that fly under the radar, right by the feels.

My favorite thing? Here’s a luxury car that’s not slathered in more fake chrome and glitz than a Toddlers in Tiara’s marathon. And the lighting system. The lighting system is kickass. In fact, as someone who is a fan of very good lighting systems, I couldn’t be more excited to share with you how good a lighting system the new A4’s LED lighting system is.

Check that out in the video below, as well as a photo gallery of the new-for-2017 A4.

Here’s a look at how the Virtual Cockpit tachometer graphics look during full-throttle, lightning-fast gearshifts.
