2017 Honda CR-V receives new looks, new features, new tech, an all-new platform– as well as its first-ever standard turbo engine.
The new for 2017 Honda CR-V is new as new can be: but in spite of all of the freshness, this latest iteration brings numerous tried-and-true CR-V attributes along for the ride, too. If you’re moving out of an older CR-V into the new-for-2017 unit, you’ll feel warm and fuzzy and right at home, in many meaningful ways. The cabin is still packed with huge storage facilities, a flat rear-seat floor, and no shortage of thoughtful and useful touches– including multiple high-output USB charge ports. The driving position is still tall, commanding and upright. The cargo hold is still deep, wide, and features a knee-height load floor for easy loading and unloading of gear. Best of all, the new turbo engine makes the driving experience more effortless and refined, thanks to a healthy slab of low-end torque.
All great stuff, and a full review and video are coming soon.
In the meantime, have a look at one of the biggest surprises I found in my top-of-the-line tester: the available LED lighting system. It uses LED technology headlamps, and it uses them really, really well. Lighting output is fantastic, and typical of a much pricier machine. Have a look at the video below for a closer analysis.
