The folks at Porsche needed a heavy-duty pry-bar to remove me from the 2017 Porsche 911 when I brought it back. The heavily-updated model has numerous updates and improvements, including an all-new engine range, new interior interfaces, new chassis tech, and plenty more. Notably, the new twin-turbo 3-litre flat-six engine retains the peaky power-curve I loved in past 911 models, and sounds just about as good in the process, too.
As always, it’s a flattering, capable and rewarding machine to drive fast on a track, too. Slow or fast, in-town on the highway, on a winding backroad or on the track, the 911 is a joy to drive.
